Emily Browning’s acting makes a person to recoil in the opening minutes. Her acting is ideal for a horror movie. She plays an innocent girl who returns from a psychiatric clinic. She is troubled by nightmares and is convinced that her real mother was deliberately burnt to death by her father’s girlfriend who is all false friendliness behind the sunshine.. The story is not as predictable as it may seem though.

It is more like a claustrophobic thriller where a worried mother awakes aboard a huge passenger jet, while taking her husband’s corpse for his funeral, to find that her little daughter is missing. How can a girl disappear from an airplane at 37,000 feet? It is a frightening thriller where the killer cannot enter or leave- but is the girl killed? Is she even on board or her mother has just lost her mind? The movie will stay with you for a while raising some questions in your mind even if you finish watching it.

There are two women in the world who are kind to him, they are not related to him though. An underweight sleepless man who finds himself trapped in the vise of world’s madness.

This movie starts to play on us even before it starts- the opening music is as gloomy and doomy as the movie itself. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo, it is haunted island movie as the name suggests, shutter island is an isolated craggy island off Boston which is adapted as a prison for the criminally insane. The two leads visit it as U.S Marshals while the dread encompasses the viewer.
