The NFL season 2023-24 is just around the corner, and fans are eager to see how their favorite teams will perform in the upcoming campaign. With the expansion of the regular season to 18 games, the addition of two new international venues in London and Germany, and the return of some star players from injuries or suspensions, there is plenty of excitement and uncertainty in the air.

Super Bowl LVIII Contenders

The ultimate goal for every NFL team is to win the Super Bowl, the most prestigious and watched sporting event globally. The Super Bowl LVIII will occur on February 11, 2024, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The top five favorites to win the Super Bowl are:

Kansas City Chiefs (+600):

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have been the dominant force in the AFC for the last three seasons, reaching two consecutive Super Bowls and winning one. Led by four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who joined them from the Green Bay Packers in a blockbuster trade, the Chiefs have a potent offense that can score at will.

San Francisco 49ers (+700):

The 49ers are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 7-10 season marred by injuries and COVID-19 issues. They have one of the most balanced and talented rosters in the NFL, with a strong running game, a versatile receiving corps, a dominant defensive line, and a reliable secondary.

They also have a proven head coach in Kyle Shanahan, who led them to the Super Bowl two seasons ago. The 49ers have a favorable schedule that includes only four games against teams that made the playoffs last season, and they have a high chance of winning the NFC West division.

Philadelphia Eagles (+750):

The Eagles are coming off a surprising 12-5 season that saw them win their first Super Bowl title in franchise history. They have a dynamic offense that features quarterback Jalen Hurts, running back Miles. Sanders, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, and tight end Dallas Goedert.

Cincinnati Bengals (+850):

The Bengals are one of the most improved teams in the NFL, thanks to their young core of players and aggressive off-season moves. They have a franchise quarterback in Joe Burrow, who is fully recovered from his knee injury that cut short his rookie season. They also have a dynamic trio of wide receivers in Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd.

Buffalo Bills (+850):

The Bills are coming off a stellar 13-4 season that saw them win their first AFC East title since 1995 and reach their first AFC Championship Game since 1993. They have an MVP-caliber quarterback in Josh Allen, who threw for 4,544 yards and 37 touchdowns last season. They also have a star wide receiver in Stefon Diggs, who led the NFL with 1,535 receiving yards and eight touchdowns last season.

Season Win Totals

Sportsbooks set an over/under number for each team’s win total, and bettors can choose whether they think the team will go over or under that number. Remember to use the best sportsbook promos to get bonuses when betting on these teams. Here are some of the best over/under picks for the NFL season 2023-24:

New York Jets Over 9.5 Wins (-110):

The Jets are one of the most hyped teams heading into the new season and for good reason. They have a future Hall-of-Fame quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, who instantly elevates their offense to a new level. They also have two of the best young weapons in the NFL in running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who both won Rookie of the Year awards last season.

Dallas Cowboys Over 9.5 Wins (-110):

The Cowboys are looking to build on their impressive 12-5 season that saw them win the NFC East division and reach the NFC Divisional Round. They have a prolific offense that features quarterback Dak Prescott, who is fully healthy after the ankle injury that sidelined him for most of last season. They also have a trio of elite wide receivers in Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Brandin Cooks, who they acquired from the Houston Texans in a trade.

Chicago Bears Over 7.5 Wins (-110):

The Bears are looking to rebound from their disappointing 6-11 season that saw them miss the playoffs for the first time since 2019. They have a promising quarterback in Justin Fields, who showed flashes of brilliance in his rookie season. They also have a reliable running back in David Montgomery, who rushed for 1,070 yards and eight touchdowns last season.

Individual Awards

Another way to bet on the NFL futures market is to wager who will win the individual awards at the end of the season. These include the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Offensive Player of the Year (OPOY), Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY), Offensive Rookie of the Year (OROY), Defensive Rookie of the Year (DROY), Comeback Player of the Year (CPOY), and Coach of the Year (COY). Here are some of the best picks for the individual awards for the NFL season 2023-24:

MVP: Aaron Rodgers (+800)

Rodgers is coming off his fourth MVP award in his illustrious career, and he has a great chance of winning his fifth one with his new team, the New York Jets. Rodgers has arguably the best-supporting cast he has ever had, with two explosive young playmakers in Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson and a solid offensive line led by Mekhi Becton and Alijah Vera-Tucker.

OPOY: Josh Allen (+1000)

Allen is coming off a breakout season that saw him finish second in the MVP voting behind Rodgers. Allen threw for 4,544 yards and 37 touchdowns while rushing for 421 yards and eight touchdowns. He also led the Buffalo Bills to their first AFC East title since 1995 and their first AFC Championship Game appearance since 1993. Allen has one of the best receivers in the league in Stefon Diggs, who led the NFL with 1,535 receiving yards and eight touchdowns last season.

DPOY: Myles Garrett (+600)

Garrett is one of the most dominant defensive players in the NFL, and he has been a perennial candidate for DPOY since he entered the league in 2017. Garrett had 12 sacks and four forced fumbles last season, despite missing two games due to COVID-19. He also had two defensive touchdowns, one on a fumble recovery and one on an interception return. Garrett is the favorite to win the DPOY award at +600, and he deserves it.

OROY: Breece Hall (+800)

Hall is the reigning OROY, and he has a chance to become the first player to win the award twice in NFL history. Hall had a sensational rookie season, rushing for 1,376 yards and 15 touchdowns while catching 36 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns. He also had four games with over 200 yards from scrimmage, and he broke the NFL record for most consecutive games with a rushing touchdown with 23.

DROY: Kayvon Thibodeaux (+1000)

Thibodeaux is the consensus No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and has a chance to make an immediate impact in the league. Thibodeaux is a freakish athlete who can be an edge rusher or a linebacker. He has a rare combination of size, speed, strength, and agility, making him a nightmare for offensive linemen.

CPOY: Joe Burrow (+800)

Burrow is coming off a devastating knee injury that ended his rookie season after 10 games. Burrow had a remarkable season before he got hurt, throwing for 2,688 yards and 13 touchdowns while rushing for 142 yards and three touchdowns. He also set several rookie records, such as most completions in a game (37), most passing yards in a game (406), and most games with 300+ passing yards (five).

COY: Robert Saleh (+1200)

Saleh is the new head coach of the New York Jets and has a chance to turn around one of the most dysfunctional franchises in the NFL. Saleh was the defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers for four seasons, and he helped them reach the Super Bowl in 2019. Saleh has inherited a talented roster that features Aaron Rodgers, Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, Sauce Gardner, Quinnen Williams, and others.

Summary

In anticipation of the NFL season 2023-24, the stage is set for a thrilling and unpredictable journey ahead. With a stretched 18-game regular season, new international venues, and the resurgence of key players, excitement fills the air. As fans brace for the Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, 2024, the landscape of contenders is robust and diverse.
