10. Kara Zor-El
She is the daughter of Zor-El and Alura. Her parent sent her away from their dying planet of Krypton, to follow her cousin, Kal-El and protect him. But when Krypton exploded, her pod got knocked-off and she entered into a zone where she slept for decades to come. Many years after Kal-El had already reached Earth and grown into an adult, he places Kara, who had eventually escaped the zone, with a family on earth. Like all Kryptonians, Kara possesses the ability to absorb and store energy from the sun. She is multilingual, super fast, has super strength, super breadth, X-Ray vision, heat vision and probably all the other qualities possess by the Superman.

Leslie Barbara Knope is the protagonist of the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. This fictional character is portrayed by Amy Poehler. Leslie is the Deputy in the Parks and Recreation department and serves on several committees. Knope is extremely optimistic, cheerful, hard-working and ambitious. Despite being intelligent, she can be naive at times and is sometimes unsuccessful in executing her goals. She is lauded for the positive stances that she takes towards gender equality and feminism.
The Walking Dead
Michonne is one of the central characters in AMC’s The Walking Dead. Michonne possesses a keen sense of intuition and is something of a loner. Also she is a survivor. She is quiet secretive and stubborn too. She takes time to gradually open up to people but when she does, they realise; Michonne is guilt ridden and somewhat broken. She has killed numerous zombies and her weapon of choice is the katana. Michonne appreciates art and sculptor.

And holds on to her position with an iron fist. She is highly regarded in the prison and is intolerant towards drugs. She also shows keen intellect and motherly affection towards the members of her gangs called Red Girl’s. Red is also known to having an obsession towards free-range chicken which she hopes to cook one day and eat it. The whole scene where she is informed that the “legendary bird” exists shows a very humorous obsessive side of Red.

Viola Davis won the 2015 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for her portrayal of Annalise Keating on ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder. Being a Criminal Law professor she is brilliant, charismatic, passionate, creative, fearless in courtroom and being a human, she is also unpredictable, dangerous, glamorous and sexy. Outside she is miss perfect but inside she is saturated up to her neck with fear and secrets. But all said and done she still is a badass.
5. Claire Beauchamp (Randall/Fraser)
Claire is portrayed by Irish actress Caitriona Balfe for which she won the Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television in 2015. Claire is a woman ahead of her own time. She has had an unusual upbringing and therefore is not deterred by rough living conditions and dangers. She is characterised as smart and stubborn who uses wits, practical medical skills and knowledge to survive in the 18th century patriarchal and dangerous world. Though Claire is compassionate she is capable of mercy killing. Her only down side is that she has a quick tongue that often lands her in big troubles.

Margaret Peggy Carter was originally introduced as supporting character to Captain America. She is one of the most significant agents of the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) during and after World War II. Also, she is tough and resilient with a bit of sarcastic streak. She believes in morality but doesn’t hesitate to lie when the situation calls for it. She loves her job and knows her worth even when men sneer at her for being a woman. Peggy is a master spy, expert marksman, expert martial artist, multilingual, expert investigator among other things.

Game of Thrones has a ton of strong characters and many of them are women. Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), an exiled princess, a highly intelligent girl who uses her brain well to procure herself with an army and become a power conqueror. Sarah Manning is the protagonist of the series, Orphan Black. She is portrayed by the brilliant actress Tatiana Maslany for which Maslany has received several awards and accolades.
